Supreme Grand Master Mehdi Zand, a world renown martial artist and the founder of Sef Shin also talks candidly about his life experience leading up to the creation and evolution of this devastatingly effective new system.
Through the following pages we hope to promote an appreciation for martial arts and the benefits it offers, both mentally and physically, to all those who practice a system of training.

2011 Martial arts Hall of Fame for Grandmaster Mehdi Zand
Grandmaster Mehdi Zand was delighted to receive his third successive Martial arts hall of fame award.
The award of Kung Fu Grandmaster of the Year was presented to Professor Mehdi Zand for his hard work and dedication to promote the true spirit of martial arts.
Grandmaster Mehdi Zand said – “I am honoured and extremely pleased for this splendid award. I thank the director and the entire host of hall of fame for awarding me this status and I would do my very best to honour its code of conduct and principle. I would like to thank my students, fans and friends for supporting me in my success. Thank you.”
Double Award for Grandmaster Mehdi Zand
Grandmaster Mehdi Zand is experiencing more worldwide success and recognition as he received two more international awards. The Spirit Award given by MAA-I for his dedication and commitments to his art, and his unselfish support to the progress of Martial Arts in general; and the Grand Sifu official certificate from the International Sifu Federation which can be translated as Grandmaster in the English language.
When asked to comment Grandmaster Mehdi Zand said – “I am sure these accomplishments will encourage my students and will help the growth of the art of SefShin as a whole. Thank you, I am truly honoured.”
New steps towards the worldwide recognition of Sef Shin
Three prestigious martial arts federations have accepted Sefshin as a legitimate system of martial art. This has been achieved through hard work, dedication and various demonstrations showing the effectiveness, fluency and beauty of Sef Shin.
Grandmaster Mehdi Zand – “I am extremely pleased to announce these accomplishments to my students and fans of Sef Shin all around the world. Now it is up to us to spread this martial science to the best of our ability, we would also like to show how the students of Sef Shin respect every other system that teaches good values, self defence and honour.
